Brand Identity
Client: Wild By Design
Sector: Regenerative Flower Farming
Brief
Wild By Design is a small-scale regenerative flower farm growing seasonal, organic blooms using permaculture principles. It is rooted in a deep respect for nature and takes a slower, more intentional approach to growing, where soil health, biodiversity, and seasonal rhythms shape every decision.
The aim was to create a visual identity that truly reflects where the business sits within the floral world. Rather than presenting flowers as polished, uniform products, Wild By Design leans into wildness, resilience, and natural ecosystems. The challenge was to design a logo that combines botanical knowledge with an artistic, slightly alternative aesthetic, while still feeling versatile enough to work across everything from apparel and signage to printed materials and digital use.
Solution
The identity is centred around a detailed brandmark that draws on both botanical illustration and mandala-inspired composition. The intention was to reflect the complexity and structure found in nature, while also communicating the depth of plant knowledge and regenerative practice behind the farm.
At the centre sits a subtle “W” for Wild, shaped in a way that also references a native flower, creating a focal point that reveals itself more the longer you look at it. Surrounding this are illustrated flowers and foliage inspired by native British species, reflecting the biodiversity and ecological richness the farm actively supports.
The composition is built around an interpretation of a flower’s internal structure, symbolising growth, regeneration, and respect for natural cycles. Together, these elements create a mark that feels organic and detailed, while still holding a strong, recognisable silhouette that works across practical applications.
Alongside this, a simplified wordmark was developed to balance the identity. Early explorations were more decorative, but pulling it back allowed the botanical symbol to take centre stage, while keeping the business name clear and easy to read across all touchpoints.
Outcome
As a new business heading into its first growing season, Wild By Design needed more than a logo. It needed a visual identity that would help it feel established from day one, and give it confidence stepping into the market.
The identity now runs across key touchpoints, from branded van graphics through to embroidered caps and aprons worn at markets and events. These details help build consistency in real-world settings and make the brand instantly recognisable in its early stages.
It also forms the foundation for everything still to come, including the upcoming website, giving the business a clear visual direction to grow from. Since launching, Wild By Design has already started building an engaged following, reaching over 380 people on Instagram who are connecting with its regenerative approach and seasonal, slow-grown ethos.
Looking ahead, the brand is set up to move into wedding floristry, where its distinct visual language and storytelling-led identity help it stand apart from more traditional offerings.
